Terms and conditions

Consider that by booking your participation in a learning activity, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions between you and Organiser. By registering you agree to the following:

REGISTRATION

The number of participants for our learning activities is limited. Registrations are processed in the order received.

You agree to provide the correct, complete, and up-to-date information necessary for processing and - if applicable - invoicing your registration. A valid email address is required to correspond with you. Your registration will be processed electronically on the Organiser’s systems and on 'cloud' services.

You agree that Organiser may process your registration as described and that Organiser may share this information with partners if necessary for processing your registration or providing the learning activity.

Organiser will not sell or otherwise misuse your data. It will only be used for registration and for keeping you up to date on the learning activity you will attend and upcoming activities.

By signing up to learning activities you agree to be added to Organiser's mailing list. This is used initially to provide you with information on the learning activity, and afterwards to keep you informed with information about upcoming activities and events. If you wish to unsubscribe, please do so using the facility provided in the email.

PAYMENT

Upon registration you are agreeing to these general Terms and Conditions. Learning activity fees are paid using Stripe or Eventbrite via the Service Design College payment gateways. For specific events, it is also possible to pay by invoice. An invoice will be sent upon registration. This invoice must be paid within 10 working days. Your registration is final when the payment has been made.

When your payment is confirmed, a tax invoice will be emailed to your email address. Payments are non-refundable. Payment of the course fee does not guarantee that you will achieve competency in the course.

Any additional charges from the use of your credit card are dependent on your financial institution and are not the responsibility of Organiser.

We charge 21% VAT to Dutch based companies, NGO’s and self-employed persons. We also charge 21% VAT to international companies, NGO’s and self-employed persons based in the European Union without a registered VAT number.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Registration is binding. If you are unable to join a learning activity of the Service Design College, you can transfer your registration to another person.

For paid online workshops and talks, cancellations will not be refunded. For online courses and in-person events, if you cancel your participation twenty eight (28) days before the start date of the course or event, 50% of your payment will be refunded.

Cancellations done less than twenty eight (28) days in advance will not be refunded. Your registration, however, may be passed on to another person with a similar profile, but only after written approval of Service Design College.

CHANGE IN OCCURRENCE

Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone a learning activity for well-motivated reasons. If an activity has been cancelled, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to attend the same activity within six months.

There will be no entitlement to compensation for travel expenses or any costs or damages arising from such a cancellation or change.

If a course or in-person event has to be postponed, registered participants will be involved in the selection of new dates and registrations will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled dates. Participants who are unable to attend on the new dates will get the option to attend the same course or training session within six months.

DELIVERY

The duration, price, content and other details are defined in the online description on the learning activity webpage.

Organiser reserves the right to change the program, set-up or the expert team (trainers, teachers, tutors, lecturers, etc.) composition, and undertakes to provide reasonable notice of change except in the case of an emergency.

In the event that a learning actitiy's program needs to be changed, due to illness of an expert team member, Organiser will do its best to find a similar expert.

Organiser cannot guarantee that a particular trainer will deliver a course.
