As a designer, you have the power to create products and services that deeply impact society. Ethical issues pervade every design and technology decision you make. In this 3-week training, you will learn how to turn your best intentions into grounded, robust methods for acting more ethically and responsibly. Two experienced instructors will guide you beyond moral hunches towards a more profound understanding of ethical design. During four live sessions of 90 minutes, you will practise various methods to kick-start ethical conversations inside your organisation and overcome common objections to ethical discussions.
In this interactive training, you will also explore ways to navigate conflicts between your personal and professional spheres' moral obligations. By the end of the training, you will have a clearer understanding of which areas are emerging focus in the space and how you can make a difference in responsible design practices. You will gain confidence to identify potential ethical issues in your work and make a case for action before any harm is done.
Join our community of designers who are committed to ethical and responsible design practices. Enrol now in our ‘Ethics in design’ interactive deep-dive and take the first step towards creating a better future for all.
This training program is designed for learners seeking to understand, advocate and promote responsible design. No prior knowledge is needed. If you are early in your career or an experienced designer leading teams and large scale projects, for all creatives this is a relevant, pressing topic to grasp.
You will follow a series of four live sessions. Each session of 90 minutes is a mixture of workshop, open discussion and debate and lecture format. You will be able to discuss, exchange feedback, and work on cases together. Learning with and from your peers is one of the guiding principles of our learning activities.
